Petit Verdot lovers,
You are in for a fine wine treat! Hidden Vineyard has waited 5 YEARS for just the right crop and vintage to make our own varietal of 100% 2022 Petit Verdot. Our 2022 crop was a great yield and since then it has been French oak barrel-aged until being bottled in March of 2024. We have let this delicious wine rest after being bottled to settle, but we have been sampling this every 2 weeks or so since being bottled. We are calling it “Wild Thing” since the vine is so needy with constant attention to more labor, such as hedging, shoot thinning, cluster thinning, etc. This wine is a dry, full-bodied red wine with medium acidity, high tannins with aromas of dark cherry and star anise.
